The reshuffle at the INEOS Grenadiers continues to take hold ahead of the 2024 season. After months of rumours and whispers, the news of the arrival of Imanol Erviti has now been confirmed.
The 40-year-old Spaniard retired from professional cycling at the end of the 2023 campaign after over a decade competing at the World Tour level with Movistar Team, having prior won a pair of Vuelta a Espana stages with Caisse d'Epargne in 2008 and 2010 respectively.
"An exciting addition to our Sport Director roster this season," reads an update to the official X (Twitter) account of the INEOS Grenadiers. "After an amazing career on the bike, it’s time for the next phase."
The arrival of Erviti marks a continuation of the backroom reshuffle within the British-based team this off-season as Steve Cummings takes a more prominent role.
