Ineos Grenadiers has revealed the names of riders scheduled to take part in the UAE Tour starting this Monday. The British team is going with Elia Viviani as their leader.
After beginning his season at Vuelta a San Juan Internacional, where he faced stiff competition from Remco Evenepoel, Viviani failed to achieve any podium finishes, making the upcoming UAE Tour a crucial event for him to seek success. Additionally, he recently participated in the European Track Cycling Championships in Grenchen, Switzerland, but was forced to withdraw early due to sickness.
The team has chosen to incorporate a mixture of youthful and experienced riders. The younger members, namely Luke Plapp, Kim Heiduk, Joshua Tarling, and Ben Tulett, will prioritize aiding their leader while also gaining valuable knowledge. In contrast, Ben Swift and Cameron Wurf have been tasked with supporting Viviani in his quest for both stage triumphs and success in the GC.
