In an all-star startlist, Evenepoel will face some stellar competition in the general classification from the likes of
Primoz Roglic,
Pello Bilbao,
Egan Bernal,
David Gaudu,
Matteo Jorgenson and Joao Almeida among others. In an early prelude to this summer's Tour de France however, it's a great chance for someone to lay a marker down despite the absence of Tadej Pogacar and Jonas Vingegaard.
"I am looking forward to it, because I am at the start with good form. I can win if you look at the course, but of course everything has to go well," Evenepoel assesses. "This is the most important race of the spring in terms of stages. It will be a huge learning experience and hopefully, I will have good points at the end of the race. I would like to add
Paris-Nice to my list of honours."
