After taking by far the most amount of wins in 2024, UAE Team Emirates - XRG are already making moves in 2025. The latest victory came this Wednesday afternoon at Trofeo Calvia as talented Swiss prospect Jan Christen emerged victorious following a late attack.
"I'm super happy, I have super condition and the first two races were already good with Antonio Morgado taking a win and now me as well," reflected a delighted Christen in his post-race interview afterwards. As an added bonus for UAE, Morgado actually took 3rd on the day from the sprint behind Christen too, giving the team a pair of podium finishers to celebrate.
"Today, Tudor pulled all day at a super-hard pace and I didn't have the best legs. So I tried to save as much energy as possible until the end and then make one or two good moves. To get away and win the race is amazing," Christen assesses. "I did some super good winter training in Gran Canaria, and could make another step forward. Taking a win already is amazing and I'm super happy and my thanks to the team."
