Given the vast quality on the
Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe team though, earning selection is something easier said than done. "It's a bit of a puzzle to go up in our team - especially when we have so many skilled riders to ride a Grand Tour," Wandahl admits. "I would like to develop even more for the one-day races and try to improve in the big finals. I think I have some good qualities for that. But I also have the Grand Tour, which I really want to try. I think that will also help me for the one-day races.”
Entering the fifth season with
Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe in 2025, the final of his current contract, it's also a big season for the Dane to prove his worth in a team with ever-growing ambitions. “They brought me in at a young age and they have developed me well over the years - constantly putting in the effort for each season," he assesses of his future. "I feel like I'm starting to be a rider they can trust 100 percent to be able to do the job they ask and deliver the results when I get the chance.”
"I definitely believe that I have a future at Red Bull, but now we have to see what offers can come," Wandahl concludes. "Then we have to take it from there. I won't rule anything out. Personally, I feel that I have the prerequisites to develop further. Then we have to see what the future brings.”
