JONATHAN MILAN S'IMPOSE À SAN SALVO ! Au terme d'un long sprint, l'Italien devance David Dekker de la formation Arkéa-Samsic et Kaden Groves. Premier bouquet sur un Grand Tour pour le sprinteur de la Bahrain-Victorius. #Giro
If Jonathan Milan's first place in the second stage of the Giro d'Italia has been surprising, David Dekker's second place can be considered even more so. The Dutchman from Arkéa-Samsic made a great comeback thanks to the work of his teammates and was close to coming back against a Milan that, yes, seemed unstoppable today. He was very happy with the second place after the race:
"Second place is fine. It was very erratic, but my teammates positioned me perfectly, I lacked a bit of punch right at the end, that was it. I think all the riders did very well today, For me this is very good for my confidence, this helps me a lot. Coming to a Grand Tour and finishing second is perfect."
