"I do not like it" - Attila Valter left unimpressed by Thomas De Gendt's social media joke

On stage 5 of the 2024 Giro d'Italia, Hungarian National Champion Attila Valter was one of a number of Team Visma | Lease a Bike riders to hit the deck. As such, the 25-year-old wasn't in the mood for jokes afterwards.
Posting a picture of a fallen Valter on his official X (Twitter) account, Lotto Dstny's Thomas De Gendt captioned the image "Wie valter", a play on words, using the name of the Team Visma | Lease a Bike rider, which translates in English to "Who falls?"
Seeing this, Valter himself was left unimpressed and made sure that De Gendt knew so. "It’s a joke with your name. Your dutch teammates will explain," the Belgian stage hunter responded to a questioning smiley face by Valter. "They explained. I don’t like it."
De Gendt is known as something of a jokester on his social media channels, previously retweeting images of Team Visma | Lease a Bike's striking time-trial helmet and assessing he'd made the right call to retire at the end of this season.

Once upon a time people made jokes like this all the time!
When they were in small private closed groups (which sometimes included the victim if he was amongst friends)
It seems like a step back to me to see how now they (just about anybody) think they can do this publicly for all to see, ESPECIALLY (thanks to tech and SM) the person made fun of.
But just for you Thomas, at least Valter lives up to his name, you are not even from Gendt.
I'm not sure, I should laugh on this or not... I can do neither of them...

A guy who can win short cyclocrosses, long classics, comes close on some stage races, keeps up with some of the best on moderate climbs and outpowers everyone on steep short ones will have a pretty good reserve for adaptation and specialisation. - There’s this guy who won the Tour once and has been on GT podiums quite often, similar stature but almost a decade older. Got pretty good at climbing even though he started lufe on the track and was more a TT type. I’ll let you guess and develop your argument (they help to validate or convince of simplistic statements) as to what is or isn’t possible given desire, time and willpower, all things MVDP will have for the time it may take until this becomes a goal for him, so, I say, if he DECIDES to put his mind to it, there are chances he COULD pull it off.
