But Lotte was so resilient in that race. I really thought that was the best of the year,” Stam remarked.

The addition of van der Breggen, a cycling legend in her own right who is making a comeback for 2025, has raised questions about how team dynamics will be affected. Stam, however, expressed confidence in the harmony her presence will bring. “I think that will work out really well. In the past, Anna has always been very loyal to her teammates. I think those two will be an extremely beautiful match.”

Stam hinted at potential changes, saying, “The question is do we choose a different path for once? If Lotte chooses to take a different path, that will have a big impact on her program. We will look at it when Lotte returns from vacation, but we did part ways with the idea of exploring the next steps next year.”
