TNT Sports, Eurosport and HBO Max extend cycling broadcast rights deal - Cycling's biggest races to remain with WBD until 2032
Cycling
Eurosport and HBO Max will remain the leading television and streaming destinations for cycling fans in Europe for years to come. The two platforms have announced an extension of their agreement with the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), securing coverage of major events organised by Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO) and UNIPUBLIC until at least 2032.
The new contract guarantees five more years of coverage of some of the biggest races on the international calendar, including the Tour de France, Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift, La Vuelta a España and La Vuelta Femenina. The package also includes major Classics such as Paris-Roubaix and Liège-Bastogne-Liège, in both the men’s and women’s categories, as well as other leading events on the calendar.
The agreement strengthens Eurosport and HBO Max’s position as the go-to platforms for live cycling coverage. Eurosport’s coverage will reach 50 markets and be available in 21 languages.
Viewers in the United Kingdom and Ireland can follow the races on TNT Sports, which is owned by Warner Bros Discovery, the parent company behind HBO Max and Eurosport.
Every race live, with a focus on streaming
One of the agreement’s main features is the continuation of an offer that gives viewers live coverage of every event in the package. HBO Max will provide full coverage of these races across Europe, while Eurosport will maintain its extensive television presence.
The streaming platform is also introducing new tools to improve the viewing experience. One highlight is the Multiscreen feature, which lets users watch four live camera feeds at once, alongside rider data and classification graphics. According to figures provided by the company, one in four HBO Max subscribers used the feature during the 2026 Grand Tour season.
Trojan Paillot, Eurosport and TNT Sports’ Senior Vice President of Sports Rights Acquisition and Distribution, welcomed the continuation of the partnership: “It is a privilege to bring the world’s biggest cycling events to fans, including the Tour de France and La Vuelta. We are delighted to continue working with the EBU and ASO to showcase the very best of our sport.”
The executive also highlighted the company’s four decades of experience broadcasting cycling and its commitment to innovation, growing the sport and finding new ways to bring races closer to fans.

The Tour de France, Eurosport’s flagship event
The renewal follows a strong season for audience figures in 2026. Eurosport’s Tour de France audience in Europe rose by 9%, with record numbers in France, Spain and the Netherlands. In the United Kingdom and Ireland, TNT Sports recorded its highest-ever audience for the race, with viewership up 58% during its first edition with exclusive coverage.
HBO Max also achieved record streaming figures. The number of subscribers who watched the Tour de France rose by 8%, according to figures released by the company.
Eurosport has broadcast every edition of the Tour de France live in Europe since 1991. Its cycling coverage spans more than 300 days of live racing each season, including men’s and women’s WorldTour events, the Grand Tours, Classics and international championships in road, track, cyclocross, mountain biking and BMX, as well as the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series.

- People see what they want to. I am actually the opposite of your accusation, probably more of a rebel than most of you who don’t get the big picture. The difference is, I don’t go moaning publicly about the consequences of my transgressions, I understand the need for rules and I take my OWN responsibility when deciding to ignore or break them or doing so involuntarily. I will also not hesitate to state my case or argue vehemently when relevant, sometimes it works, sometimes it makes things worse but that’s the price to pay for principles and having character.Jumpyjohn08-11-2026
- That may be but that was unknown to others and nothing says that’s the whole truth. Again, don’t try to misinterpret, it is a call and technically it is correct. Besides, even if there is a valid reason, that does not disqualify the ruling or punishment as far as the rules have been developed. I don’t think they’re as far as in football where for handball there is a distinction (in some ways and specific cases) between intentional or not. And football can be just as harsh and people live with it, eg the offside rule, also judged to within tiny fractions but often wrong or ignored. It’s the nature of every collective organisation and sometimes I wonder if our rebellion against it isn’t seated in the feelings we carry from the injustices we’ve felt personally, like being flashed driving 1km/h too fast when we are explained limits are just a security measure but we are absolutely certain not to have endangered anyone with our transgression. The problem is, nobody has better solutions and no 2 people have the same interpretation of where a limit should be.Jumpyjohn08-11-2026
- Because for you deviated implies the other rider MUST have been made to fall and fail to finish ??? I don’t know if you ride a bike but next time someone carves you up or drives dangerously close, just hold back from those feelings of changing something, reporting or filming or even complaining. Everyone will just say, hey you’re still here undamaged, doesn’t seem like anyone did anything.Jumpyjohn08-11-2026
