After a long period out of racing,
Jai Hindley returned to competition at the Clasica San Sebastian this weekend, and will be racing the
Vuelta a Burgos in an attempt to regain his racing form ahead of the Vuelta a Espana.
The Giro d'Italia worked hard for a long break, which he seized to enjoy and recover from his triumph, and begin preparations for his second Grand Tour of the season. He will be racing in northern Spain alongside
Wilco Kelderman and
Emanuel Buchmann who will have a co-leadership throughout the five-day race.
With six riders at the start the focus will be on the two mountain stages where the GC will be decided, however
Martin Laas should also have the freedom to try and chase results in the sprint finishes.
Patrick Gamper will offer support on those days, whilst
Matteo Fabbro will be working for the team leaders in the mountains. The trio will be linking up with Sergio Higuita at the Vuelta, the Colombian is currently showing his good form at the Tour de Pologne where he won the third stage and is currently in the lead of the race.
