Groupama - FDJ chase wins at Vuelta a Espana as Thibaut Pinot returns to Spain

Thibaut Pinot will be the most known name present at the Vuelta a Espana with the Groupama - FDJ colours, a team that will be looking for stage wins throughout the three weeks on multiple terrains.

The mountains will be a priority, as Pinot makes his return to the race for his fifth presence where he will be a threat in the mountainous stages. He will be joined by Rudy Molard and Sébastien Reichenbach in the mountains, a dangerous trio which has real chances of succeeding. Quentin Pacher will be looking at the hilly stages specifically, and all four riders will be strong options for breakaway days.

As for the sprints the team will back up Jake Stewart, a stage winner at the recent Tour de l'Ain. The British sprinter has earned the confidence of the team and will be the option for the flat days. He will have the support of Miles Scotson on these days, an outsider fast man.

Bruno Armirail and Fabian Lienhard complete the squad, which is unlikely to have GC ambitions throughout the three weeks, and will instead be focusing on stage wins.
