Grace Brown is gearing up for the next season. One of her favourite races, the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race, is on her radar for January.
“I’ve had a really great season in 2022, but the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race is a win that I’ve yet to achieve,” said Brown. She continues, “I’m hoping that I can start my 2023 season off with a high and aim for a result in this race I think it’s a course that is suited to me, so I’ve always had it at the back of my mind that I’d like to win it one day, and I hope that this next edition will be that opportunity.”
A combination of her speed, climbing, and ability to change strategy as the situation demands to make her a sure competitor for the top spot. The best result she has achieved so far is 10th in 2019. There are also some changes to the course as compared to previous editions. “As the course has changed a little bit this year – it is going in the opposite direction – we have some hills to start with and I think it will be a really good opportunity for there to be an early breakaway in the race. It will change the dynamics of the race as a whole,” concluded Brown.
