Giro d'Italia GC update as Remco Evenepoel shows first signs of weakness

For the first time in this year's Giro d'Italia, the GC battle really began. Primoz Roglic made his move, followed by Tao Geoghegan Hart and Geraint Thomas with Remco Evenepoel showing a first sign of weakness.

All 3 gain positions in the general classification and Primoz is already third, half a minute behind Remco. Almeida, who joined Evenepoel's group, is now fourth. Remaining in the top 10 are Aurelien Paret-Peintre, Aleksandr Vlasov, Damiano Caruso and Lennard Kämna as Andreas Leknessund impressed enough to continue on in the Maglia Rosa.
