Giro d'Italia 2023 Youth Classification | João Almeida finally takes classification at fourth GC tilt

The Youth classification at the Giro d'Italia saw João Almeida succeed, on his fourth attempt as he chased the overall classification.

The Portuguese fought for the pink jersey throughout the three weeks, but as a consequence of his consistency and climbing quality he jumped into the lead on stage 10, beating Thymen Arensman and Andreas Leknessund who also featured in the Top10. Remco Evenepoel and Andreas Leknessund also led the classification throughout the race.
