Gijs Leemreize had undoubtedly imagined his last race for
Jumbo-Visma differently. The Dutchman, who will race for Team DSM-Firmenich from 2024, broke his collarbone in a fall in the
Gran Piemonte. Jumbo-Visma reports this on the team website.
Leemreize crashed on Thursday in the last fifty kilometers of the Gran Piemonte. He was unable to continue on his way and appears to have broken his collarbone. The Gran Piemonte was Leemreize's last competition in the colors of Jumbo-Visma.
