GC Update Volta a Catalunya 2025 after stage 3 - Juan Ayuso leads Primoz Roglic and Mikel Landa by 6 and 11 seconds

The Volta a Catalunya has quickly turned into a race where the climbers swarm the top of the overall classification this Wednesday, as the summit finish to La Molina split things up. Juan Ayuso has taken the race lead, although gaps remain small.

The Spaniard 'Roglified' Primoz Roglic in the explosive summit finish, outsprinting him by a mere few centimeters. It was enough to take hold of the GC, 6 seconds ahead of the Slovenian who also looked sharp. Mikel Landa sits third 11 seconds behind, whilst Enric Mas is 14 and then many riders sit 17 seconds after the UAE Team Emirates - XRG rider.
