Demi Vollering explains the importance of team spirit at Itzulia Women: "If one of us wins, we all win"

Demi Vollering seemed to be heading for the overall victory in Itzlia Women on Sunday. However, the Dutch cyclist kept her legs still in the final, allowing her teammate Marlen Reusser to take the overall victory. In the flash interview, Vollering explains how important team spirit in the team is to her.

"I am very happy. We won with the team. If one of us wins, we all win," with which Vollering reflects SD Worx's team spirit. "It's always a team effort. We win together, but also for each other. And that's great."

Vollering won the first two stages in the Basque Country convincingly. It doesn't matter to her that she didn't complete the hat-trick. “I am very happy that Marlen won. We were on the podium together in all three stages. Today was her day to shine."

"I've already won so much," continues Vollering. "As I just said: we win together, but also for each other. When I see my teammates so happy at the table during dinner tonight, I also feel very good and grateful. That's all that matters to me."
