Debuting the new kit in Thursday’s race will be the team’s statement signing for this season
Sam Bennett, along with Paul Lapeira, Jordan Labrosse, Damien Touzé, Baptiste Veistroffer and Norwegian veteran Edvald Boasson Hagen, who also signed for the team over the winter. The team will be hoping to achieve a strong result with Bennett, after what has been a somewhat lacklustre start to life at the team for the Irishman.
Having finished tenth at this race last season, Lapeira spoke in an interview with his team ahead of the race, with the Frenchman stating that “I like the
Grand Prix de Denain. Last season, I finished tenth after being in the breakaway. My role this year will be to stay at the front until the cobbles come into play. After that, depending on how the race goes, I’ll try to take part in breakaways and work for Sam Bennett if there’s a sprint finish”.
