According to reports from Gazzetta dello Sport, Italian cyclist Mattia Cattaneo has decided to renew his contract with the Soudal Quick-Step team for two more seasons, despite having proposals from two other WorldTour teams.
Cattaneo, 32, has proven to be a key pillar in the structure of the team led by Patrick Lefevere since his arrival in 2020 from Androni Giocattoli. In the recent Giro d'Italia, he was called to play a crucial role as Remco Evenepoel's domestique, and is expected to continue to be part of the teams accompanying the talented Belgian cyclist in the grand tours.
