Criterium du Dauphiné: Jonas Vingegaard loses key domestique Steven Kruijswijk who crashes out on stage 2

Stage 2 of the Criterium du Dauphiné started off with a crash which took out three riders from the race. One of them was Steven Kruijswijk who was forced to abandon the race, leaving a meaningful dent at Jumbo-Visma.

The dimension of the injuries are not known, but the Dutchman is forced to miss the French race, a crucial test ahead of the Tour de France. There Kruijswijk was expected to have a key role for Jonas Vingegaard's support, but now his spot will be put to question.
