Cofidis reveals first five names for Tour de France

The biggest race for any French team, the Tour de France, is quickly approaching. Cofidis, just like any other year, will pursue a success in their home Grand Tour with best squad possible.

This Friday, the team revealed first five names on their Tour de France lineup and it certainly meets all expectations in terms of quality. Fans will get to see local stars like Bryan Coquard and Guillaume Martin.

But the team won't be all about experienced riders. New generation of French riders will get their fair share of chances. Talented classics rider with fast punch Axel Zingle will make his Grand Tour debut, while Alexis Renard, who already rode La Vuelta in 2020, will be present at Grande Boucle for the first time.

Last name will especially draw attention in opening stages in Basque Country as one of the region's most popular riders, Ion Izagirre, will take on the French Grand Tour for the ninth time in his career.
