Chances are that Cees Bol will extend his contract with Astana Qazaqstan Team by two years. The news was brought out by La Gazzetta dello Sport. The Dutchman is in his first season with the Kazakh World Tour team.
Bol signed for a season last winter together with Mark Cavendish, but now seems to be signing a contract extension for another two years with Astana. With that he would race in blue kit until the end of 2025.
Henok Mulubrhan will be one of his teammates next year. The talent from Eritrea was already on Astana Qazaqstan's radar and according to La Gazzetta, that transfer is done. However, it cannot be announced before August 1 according to the UCI rules.
It was previously announced that Vino's team is also targeting Jake Stewart (Groupama-FDJ) and Lorenzo Fortunato (EOLO-Kometa) for 2024.
