Cavendish, Hayter and Swift amongst riders targeting British National Champions, BC announces

Mark Cavendish will take part in the 2022 British National Road Championships in Dumfries and Galloway, British Cycling have announced as they antecipate the popular event.

The race takes place on June 26 and follows on from last year's competition in Lincoln, England. This year's British National Road Championships in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland, will feature a strong line-up, including Tour de France legend Mark Cavendish. The 201km men's event will also feature top talent such as Ethan Hayer and current national champion Ben Swift.

Cavendish is a 34-time Tour de France stage winner who is experiencing a late-career comeback at the age of 37. All five champions from 2021 compete in the event, including two-time winner Ben Swift. Cavendish won the event just once when it was also held in Scotland back in 2013.
