Can Lidl-Trek team surprise in Strade Bianche without a clear favorite?

Lidl-Trek has announced its lineup for Strade Bianche. The American formation does not start with a clear favorite, but will be able to play multiple cards on the dusty roads around Siena.

It's no secret that Strade Bianche is one of 22-year-old Quinn Simmons' favorite races. The American champion already made an impression on his debut in 2021, he was in the leading group for a while, including the later winner Mathieu van der Poel and Wout van Aert. A year later, in the 2022 edition, he crossed the line seventh in Siena. Last year, Simmons had to settle for twelfth place.

Another rider to keep an eye on, especially after the Flemish Opening Weekend, is Toms Skujins. The Latvian was perhaps the best man in the race in the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, but it did not translate into a good result. Maybe things will develop differently on Saturday.

Lidl-Trek lineup for Strade Bianche:
Quinn Simmons, Andrea Bagioli, Toms Skujins, Fabio Felline, Jacopo Mosca, Edward Theuns and Mathias Vacek
