Caleb Ewan scores crucial UCI points for Lotto Soudal in GP de Fourmies - "Hopefully, that will allow us to stay in the WorldTour"

After a poor performance in Tour de France, Caleb Ewan has returned to his form and secured the victory in the GP de Fourmies. He beat Dylan Groenewegen and secured the victory.
The victory comes at a critical time when Lotto Soudal is striving to gain as many UCI points as possible. Thanks to Ewan's victory, the team has gained 200 points, "Hopefully, that will allow us to stay in the WorldTour," he said.
Concerned about the future of his team, Ewan wants to add more points to stay in the WorldTour. "It's no secret that we are chasing those points at the moment. I don't know how many there are here, but for one-day races, it's a lot," Ewan said. It's ultimately about 200 points.
To gain more points, he plans to race another one-day race next week. ”My next race is Koolskamp Koerse, and after that, I'll do some more one-day races in Belgium."
But aside from UCI points, he is also overjoyed with his victory, "I'm happy to score some points, but I'm happy with the win today anyway. The team did a great job and had everything under control for me," Ewan concluded.
