#VueltaRM24 🇪🇦
Karel Vacek was on everyone's radar at the beginning of 2019. Why? Because he was one the very few riders to beat the phenomen Remco Evenepoel head to head. Even more impressively, he was able to achieve this feat multiple times in 2018. However since then, things haven't gone so smoothly for the now 23-year-old Czech climber.
In Vacek's sixth season among professionals he'll already wear sixth outfit, having raced for Hagens Berman Axeon, Colpack, Qhubeka Assos, Tirol KTM and Corratec - Selle Italia previously. Vacek, who was second in a stage to Gran Sasso at last year's Giro d'Italia, will immediately get into action for his new team, racing Vuelta Ciclista a la Region de Murcia this Saturday.
"I am very grateful and happy to be able to ride for the Burgos-BH team. I hope to become a valuable rider for the team and help achieve good results. My biggest goal is to be useful to the team, do well in races and try to nominate for La Vuelta, if Burgos-BH is invited," Vacek said in a press release.
"I think Burgos-BH is the perfect team for me, since they ride very tough races that fit perfectly to my qualities. I have already spoken with most of the staff and with some of the colleagues. Everyone has received me very well. I'm looking forward to starting the season and showing what I'm capable of."
