Alberto Dainese handed early season blow after training crash

After an encouraging opening to his 2024 season, with top-6 finishes in both of his opening two races, Alberto Dainese has now set for a partial spell on the sidelines after a training crash.

"Alberto Dainese crashed in training ahead of this weekend’s races in Murcia and Almería and sustained injuries to the face/jaw, without any fractures," reads an announcement by the official Tudor Pro Cycling Team's social media teams. "Unfortunately, he won’t be able to make the start of the mentioned races, as well as Volta ao Algarve next week."

Dainese joined the Tudor Pro Cycling Team from Team DSM-Firmenich over the off-season and as mentioned, had made a bright start, finishing second at Trofeo Ses Salines-Felanitx and sixth at Trofeo Palma.

It is now expected that the next outing for the 25-year-old Italian will be at Kuurne - Bruxelles - Kuurne on the 25th of February.
