The Australian has so far not had the best of seasons, racing to a sixth place at the Tour Down Under, but then failing to leave a mark throughout the spring. AG2R Citroën Team are in need of a leader and of UCI points, as they sit just above the current red line. "For me, good results in the Dauphiné then in the Tour are synonymous with a successful season. As usual, I will give my best to be at the same level as last year and build my confidence for the future," he concluded.
