Astana Qazaqstan Team confirm Mark Cavendish's return at Tour of Turkey with support from Kanter & Ballerini among others

The final season of Mark Cavendish's legendary career continues in earnest this Sunday, as the 'Manx Missile' returns to action after a disrupted spell through illness, at the Tour of Turkey.
Leading the hopes of the Astana Qazaqstan Team, Cavendish will be supported in his quest for sprint wins by a train that includes the likes of Davide Ballerini, Max Kanter and Rudiger Selig. So far in 2024, Cavendish has seen a bright start at Tour Colombia followed by a rough spell with injury and illness continually disrupting his farewell tour.
Completing the Astana Qazaqstan Team lineup for the Tour of Turkey, Harold Martín López, Vadim Pronskiy, and Nicolas Vinokurov ensure a relatively solid seven for the Kazakh-based outfit, with big hopes of success at the eight-stage race.
