Daniel McLay has extended his contract with Arkea-Samsic for two more years. He has been a part of the team since 2020.
“I am happy to extend with the Arkéa-Samsic team, especially with a potential UCI WorldTour program in 2023,” said McLay. He continues, “Over the seasons, I have been able to find my place within the Arkéa-Samsic team in the field of sprinting. I also enjoy the classic cobblestones from the north, French and Belgian. I still harbour high personal and collective sporting ambitions.”
He also made his debut in Vuelta a Espana this year and managed to secure bronze in the third stage. His other achievements include two silver in Saudi Tour early this season.“I demonstrated it this season on the roads of Vuelta Ciclista a España with a top 3 during a massive arrival or again during Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne, which I finished in 4th place. I feel, year after year, that I continue to progress compared to the previous one, which for me is very encouraging,” concluded McLay.
