Anthony Perez seals victory at Faun Drome Classic

At the Faun Drôme Classic, Cofidis rider Anthony Perez managed to create a lead and maintain it until the finish line, clinching his first win of the season, while Rui Costa finished in second place and Andrea Bagioli took the third spot on the podium.

Simon Pellaud, Nolann Mahoudo, Alexis Guerin, Cristián Rodríguez, Fabien Doubey, and Jacob Madsen formed a breakaway group that worked together to distance themselves from the peloton, creating a lead of over 5 minutes.

The peloton caught up with the breakaway after 72 kilometres, causing the group to splinter into several smaller groups. Anthony Perez then managed to pull ahead with a lead of over a minute, while Andrea Bagioli and David Gaudu trailed behind him.

Anthony Perez maintained his lead and crossed the finish line to secure the win. Rui Costa finished behind him and secured silver. Andrea Bagioli completed the podium.
