Another statement signing for Movistar! Remi Cavagna joins on deal lasting until 2026

Movistar Team continues to announce signings for the upcoming 2024 season. The Spanish team has made official a few moments ago the impressive addition of Remi Cavagna until 2026 from Soudal - Quick-Step.

Cavagna lands at Movistar after an outstanding 2023. The 28-year-old French rider comes from winning just this year two stages of the Settimana Coppi e Bartali, the French Time Trial Championship and the Tour of Slovakia, including a stage of the same.

"It is a new challenge for me. It has been seven beautiful years with Quick Step, enjoying my profession and learning a lot, but I felt that I needed to make a change to reach my maximum potential. As with QST, joining the Movistar Team is entering a team that is part of cycling history, with such important riders who have passed through its ranks," says Cavagna. "I am very proud to come here, and I come hungry for success and ready to give my all for the group. You always want to win for yourself, of course, but I also enjoy helping my teammates achieve victories and building a beautiful project. I already know people from the group and I really want to share colours in 2024."

"I have very attractive challenges on the horizon for these three years. I'm going to discover the classics of the North with the team, with that special atmosphere. I'm looking forward to facing the pavé with this group and discovering those tests. On the other hand, and as everyone knows, I am a time trial specialist, and in the last couple of years, although I have done well, I have felt that something was missing. I want to reach my maximum, work on the position and all aspects both in pure performance and in aerodynamics. If I want to be one of the best, I have a lot of work ahead of me in these years."
