Burgos BH has been in the news in recent days for its activity in the transfer market. The Spanish team has confirmed the arrival of four new cyclists for the year 2024. They are men from countries that do not have a great cycling tradition, but who achieved a large number of UCI points during 2023 that will surely come in handy for the Spanish team.
According to Twitter account @ADescenso, which in recent years has been characterized by counting the UCI points of Movistar Team; between George Jackson, Aaron Gate, Jambaljamts Sainbayar and Georgios Bouglas added a total of 1359 points. That is, between the 4 of them almost the same as Burgos BH totaled last year, a total of 1593 UCI points.
This speaks very well of the work being done in the offices of a Burgos that hopes to be invited again to participate in the Vuelta a España in 2024 and that has managed to attract the attention of the media with these signings but, as we see, they go far beyond that, of being media signings: they are 4 cyclists that a priority can give a great leap forward at the level of points to the team.
