Alexandra Manly and Georgia Baker to lead BikeExchange–Jayco in Women's Tour Down Under

Team BikeExchange–Jayco has revealed its lineup for Tour Down Under women’s race. Alexandra Manly and Georgia Baker will lead the team.

“I am super excited to race the Santos Tour Down Under in January, and for me personally, it is really special as the race is in my hometown of Adelaide,” Manly said on the tour’s website. She continues, “I have been a part of the event over the years and have witnessed its growth, so to see it now elevated to UCI WorldTour level for 2023 it is really something special.”

Baker brings her experience as a top sprinter. She last participated in the 2018 edition. Her performance in the World Championship, Commonwealth Games and silver in the first stage of Giro d’Italia Donne makes her a necessary member of the squad.

Ruby Roseman-Gannon, winner of the Santos Festival of Cycling, along with Jessica Allen, newcomer Georgie Howe and Amber Pate, are also part of the team. Race Director Stuart O’Grady is impressed with the lineup. “Our stages will really play to Alex Manly’s strengths, but any rider on this roster could be in contention for the ochre jersey,” concluded O’Grady.
