After 1 year without racing, Visma's British talent Tom Gloag takes first pro win at Czech Tour

The riders have taken on the queen stage of the Czech Tour this afternoon. Marc Hirschi defended himself very well and extended his lead in the overall classification; whilst the stage win was taken by Tom Gloag of Team Visma | Lease a Bike, who finished his first race day in a whole year only in this very race.

A breakaway of 15 riders threatened to go all the way today but in the peloton a few teams kept a high pace all day long to keep it in check. In the final climb Gloag launched an attack with 6 kilometers to go and whilst others looked to do the same behind, they couldn't go clear of the main GC group.

The 22-year old took a solo win atop the 12-kilometer long Dlouhé stráně climb. Marc Hirschi finished second to extend his lead over his rivals, with teammate Diego Ulissi coming in third.
