Team BikeExchange - Jayco keep announcing new moves and the Australian team is having a new set of faces for the coming seasons that will boost the team's depth. Under-23 European champion
Felix Engelhardt was the new announcement, following the likes of Filippo Zana, Chris Harper and Eddie Dunbar.
Team manager Brent Copeland has said that "we believe we have found a great talent and top rider for the future with Felix. He is only a young rider but has already shown a lot of maturity and that he can compete and win at the highest level". The 21-year old is moving from the
Tirol KTM Cycling team, and is the third rider to be announcing a change of colours this year, as
Matevz Govekar moved to Bahrain - Victorious and
Florian Lipowitz is currently racing as a stagiaire for BORA - hansgrohe.
Engelhardt, 21 years old, has been racing for the Austrian team since turning pro in 2019 and has built himself as a quality puncheurs and classics rider. He's had several noteworthy results this year, however his win in Anadia just under a month ago was his most prestigious and has him race with the European colours in the under-23 ranks.
“For me, joining Team BikeExchange-Jayco is a dream come true. Since I started cycling I have always been looking up to the team, especially for its great atmosphere," Engelhardt said in the press release. "For the next two years my goal is to further improve my physical capabilities, but also learn from the more experienced guys to find my way into the WorldTour and support the team in the best ways possible.”
