The overall classification of the Vuelta a Espana was an historic one. Jumbo-Visma have won their third Grand Tour of the season with their third rider, and completed the whole podium with Sepp Kuss, Jonas Vingegaard and Primoz Roglic.

This was a victory built on stage 6 to the Alto de Javalambre, where Kuss joined the breakaway and took the win. The minutes he's won there were enough to hold off the rest of the field throughout the rest of the race, with his two teammates each taking several stage wins, but paying back all the hard work with a conservative set of performances in the final two mountain stages, which have ultimately earned the team fill the entire podium. The red jersey has also been held by Lorenzo Milesi, Andrea Piccolo, Remco Evenepoel and Lenny Martínez before the American took charge.
