With 16 stages gone, has the Tour de France been decided? After Jonas Vingegaard's display against Tadej Pogacar in the time-trial, the Jumbo-Visma leader holds a mighty lead although we imagine the Slovenian will keep trying until the end.
In the fight for third place on the podium, Adam Yates was five seconds ahead of Carlos Rodríguez. Bad time trial for the INEOS rider, who finished the stage 12th behind his teammate Jonathan Castroviejo. If the British rider continues to hold on as well until the end as he did in the last mountain stages, it will be difficult for Rodiguez to finish third, however if Yates really empties for Pogacar, you never know.
Fifth is a Jai Hindley in worse and worse shape who sees Sepp Kuss and Pello Bilbao who finished fourth in the time trial behind the two giants and Wout van Aert. Behind them close the top 10 Simon Yates, David Gaudu and Felix Gall who overtook Guillaume Martin with the Cofidis rider dropping out of the top 10.
