  These are some things that could improve a cyclist’s performance but are not currently banned by UCI. 1. Ketone esters/drinks 2. Tapendatol (strong painkiller) 3. GLP-1 agonists (Ozempic/Wegovy-type drugs) 4. Sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) 5. Caffeine (high dose) 6. Nitrates (beetroot juice) 7. Peptides Could the cyclists be using any of these substances to help them in races? There could be several more we don’t know about that only the teams know.

  If doping is taking place in cycling then everyone is doing it. This also means that everyone is at the same baseline and that the best cyclists will win eventually. I also have a feeling that the UCI will not publicly name any superstars if they were caught cheating to protect the interests of the sport. Why would they bring about their own downfall??

  Don’t underestimate all the new techniques that aren’t really discussed yet and would technically not qualify as doping because the UCI is always a step behind with banning anything that works.

  That makes no sense but hey - you do you. I did not drag trump into the argument and not once did I say I support him. Others made that decision on my behalf. If we get back to cycling for a minute there is not a usa state-sponsored team is there?

  And all Mauro has ever paid for are top notch lawyers that dreamt up a scheme to stop his having to reveal anything in his court case and managed to shut up witnesses. If that’s the kind of “transparency” that makes Hinault want to stick his head in the sand and he imagines a warned wiser Mauro is less likely to try anything then he’s just totally naive. Mauro is one of the slickest slyest string-pullers there’s been, way more discreet than Lance, way more intelligent than Trump, as connected as Epstein and way more sophisticated than Infantino.
