To claim that Jonas and Almeida are in a better position because of the Giro is questionable. Remco comes straight from altitude training and will be looking sharp for the Classics. Jonas hasn't even been to altitude training yet - he won't be until April. Both he and Almeida have a month before their form peaks.

yeah this is an odd comment. MVDP is always a favorite, but it is hard not to make Tadej the # 1 favorite considering he has found a way to beat MVDP in every race except one now.

if you're talking of favorites, remember that Tadej dropped MVDP in the Kwaremont the last 2 editions of Flanders.. I wonder if that counts?

He crashed then won, is that a big deal ? #biddeal 🙄 - he's got over worse! ie last yrs 'tours knee problem, cycling is soo pathetically sensationally pretentious, nowadays with all the media

Eddy Merckx also knows that when Pogi wins Roubaix this year, he will have victories on all 5 monuments + Strade Bianche (the 6th "monument") in the world champion's jersey. That fact alone is enough for Olympus and with the fifth Tour de France win (he still has to do it)... sends him directly next to Zeus. Pogi is the G.O.A.T. 🐐🐐of all sports and he continues winning ...

The fact that it took the best road rider in the World 6 attempts to win Milano-Sanremo is quite telling. The fact that a climber won it is nothing special - Nibali won it in 2018. It actually took him a similar number of attempts to do so, but unlike Pogačar he was never so close to winning in previous editions. Thus he had the surprise factor. The reason why it took Pogačar so long was because he lost the surprise factor - if he'd had it he'd have won it much earlier

Pogi seems to ride BETTER after crashing! He crashed during Strade Bianche last year and still beat Pidcock (lol poor guy Pidcock can't catch a break, losing to Pogi again)!

This needs to be amended. The best climber in the world didn’t win it - the best RIDER in the world won it.
