- That's fair comment. From what his family have said about Pog clowning around to lighten the mood whenever things got tense at home when he was a kid, I see his efforts now in that light. The press who seem to have 'arrogant' as a must-have adjective for Pogacar in their style sheet seem a bit short of empathy.
- What I meant is that he makes humourous comments too often, so it becomes too much, the humour is wasted, and that's why it has been interpreted as arrogant. I'm no Pogačar hater - I do not believe in hate speech towards any rider (well, maybe Mario Cippolini), so let's just agree to disagree on this matter. On a happier note, I would pick Merlier for today's stage, because I think it'll be chaotic, and today is as close as it gets to a one day race
- Did the other applicants paperwork 'accidentally' go missing?
- yeah, so sad...
- Police are better than jihadist with a suicide vest.
- I find this Pog hating really disturbing. And, ironically, the hating itself often comes across as arrogant. And weird, like when a commentator said, as Pog gave a quick, cheerful smile as a cameraman passed him on a bike, 'There's Pogacar playing up to the cameras'. Then Jonas was filmed really hamming it up for the cameras with a fixed grin and sardonic little wave for at least five seconds, and the commentator said nothing. (Not blaming Jonas, just the biased commentators and reporters)
- I would take that "not looked at the stages" comment with a pinch of salt. What rider doesn't look at the stage profiles? Plapp knows full well what is ahead of him in the race. This is just a throwaway comment.
- Roglic gives the best interviews, IMO. He is entertaining and straightforward in a way similar to Peter Sagan. And similar to Vincenzo Nibali, Roglic doesn't boast or make bold predictions. When all factors go right for him, he often delivers the goods. One of my favorite riders in forty years. He and Kuss made a great duo.
- I couldn't agree more, why Soler? He's disobedient, irrational with his absurd "attacks". Only with Pogacar acts as a domestique but disrespects all other team leaders. I don't get why is in the Tour de France or.. even more, why is in the UAE team. A crazy element, a "caballo loco" who doesn't contribute to the teams.
- They'll need Soler to assist if Tadej cracks terribly and still want others in the team to keep their podium. That's my guess.
