Different reasons but a lot of what is said must be the same for road riders when Pogacar turns up - they are mostly riding for 2nd. Are you going to ban Pog? Of course not - the same why you cannot ban MVDP or Wout. Probably the same in Merckx' time when he would turn up for all sorts of races (road, tt, track) - there must have been all sorts of riders saying 'why doesn't just stick to ........'. These people do not come along all the time so we have to embrace 'our time watching greatness'.
