I got the sense that Wout was winding Pog up about not pulling with him after Pog pulled with Mathieu in Paris for the panache of it. Then Wout asked Pog for a bottle for his son and Pog gave his son the shades because Pog is just a great guy.

I don't understand why Van der Poel is on less than 1600 points. It's 800 UCI points for a monument victory. He's won 2 and come 3rd at another so should be on at least 2000.
