The irony. Michael Rasmussen? says what? And, it's not Rex's fault he has a better personality than Rasmussen.09-06-2026 21:27

No one can replace Christophe Laporte. TVL will fill his slot with talent but no one can substitute for the team's loss of heart in Laporte.29-05-2026 02:56

Cycling is characterized by the unresolved abyss it creates between team and individual accomplishments. Johan Museeuw seems to prefer a cycling of machines per the mean record books of statistics. Wout rather is more human and for that he is the favorite in the hearts of his many fans for whom cycling rehearses their own struggles of life. Wout is criticized for "allowing," maybe pushing his teammate LaPorte across the finish line ahead of him. Yeah, there are record books and Van Aert could have been more vain. But, Van Aert chose to be himself, a true champion of the people putting his team and brother first. He should be knighted rather than criticized by shallow cycling experts. Wout creates memorable events that achieve a different kind of history. In today's world, we need more Wout van Aerts and Christophe LaPortes.05-11-2023 15:18
