- Well I'm not a fan of him but that doesn't mean I don't find it exciting. Usually that sort of ride is reserved for classics. Compared to his exhibitions at the Worlds, Europeans, Strade Bianche and Il Lombardia it's nothing special when you consider the competition. But I can't remember him doing anything like this in a stage race. The fact that he is now treating stage races like classics is scarier than he already was. There are some Pogi fans who found this disappointing as they wanted to see him demolish van der Poel on the final climb, and see the gap balloon as though van der Poel was in a standstill. It's somewhat less interesting when it happens as it did. Not going to lie though, the other 4 races today were more interesting.
