Since his transfer to Q36.5 Pro Cycling, we have seen Tom Pidcock regain the spark in his eye. He may have only won four times in the early phases of this season, but the Brit nevertheless enjoyed every bit of it.
With a newly-found freedom, the multi-discipline star finally found time and space to think about his passions besides the road - the mountain bikes and even cyclocross. For the latter, there is still multiple months until the season begins and the option that the 2022 World Champion would be back after 2 years absence is more in the realm of hypothetical.
But Pidcock's reappearance on mountain bike can be seen as a certainty with a confirmation that the 2024 Olympic Champion would race for the first time this season in Pal Arinsal, Andorra. This particular World Cup round seems to make sense as the World Championships later this year will take place in the same site.
Pidcock has already won everything there is in the world of mountain bikes, but the discipline is his big passion and after almost a year of absence, the Brit will be fired up at the start line to prove that he's still got it in him.
