There is something deeply stupid about the way race commentators get agitated when Pogacar is "isolated" on steep climbs. But I can understand how Visma gets sucked into cracking their own rider: they have to believe their guy is just a little stronger than Pogacar, and that putting them both at their limit will allow the 1% difference to emerge in their favor.
