The last time we had seen Cat Ferguson compete was at the World Cup Hulst, where she suffered a major crash that was to keep her out for some time. Just three weeks later, the future cycling superstar has taken the silver medal at the British national championships in impressive fashion.
The Movistar Team rider finished behind Xan Crees, who won the title for the first time in her career. Third was the other great British cycling pearl, Imogen Wolff. Like Ferguson, she was also born in 2006 and is also on a major women's WorldTour team, Visma - Lease a Bike.
The 18 year old from Yorkshire is surely destined for great things in her cycling career, and will be hoping to build on this silver medal to achieve some impressive feats in 2025.
Ferguson is talented across many disciplines, and is arguably the most exciting prospect in British cycling at the moment. She's won world junior titles both on the road and on the track, and has also picked up junior medals in cyclocross too.
