Fem van Empel has won the Koppenbergcross . She created a considerable gap before the final lap and beat Denise Betsema by 50 seconds to secure her seventh victory of the season.
Marie Schreiber started the race with a nice lead. Van Empel faced a mechanical problem in the first lap but was able to recover without losing much time. Soon Denise Betsema and Shirin van Anrooij joined the duo. Van Empel once again showed her powerful legs and created a gap before the final lap. She crossed the finish line 50 seconds ahead of Betsema and secured her seventh victory of the season. Denise Betsema finished second while Shirin van Anrooij took the bronze.
