VIDEO: Vuelta a Espana 2023 stage 17 - Roglic and Vingegaard drop Kuss on the gruesome gradients of the Alto de l'Angliru

The Alto de l'Angliru didn't deliver massive difference but it did deliver on the drama. Primoz Roglic and Jonas Vingegaard dropped Sepp Kuss in the final kilometers to cut their gaps in the fight for the red jersey.

The stage was decided on the final ascent. After Remco Evenepoel was chased down, Bahrain - Victorious did a tremendous work to set up Mikel Landa, but he was no match to the Jumbo-Visma riders who finished first, second and third on the day.
