Jasper Philipsen once again proving to be the quickest man in the peloton, denying
Mark Cavendish a historic 35th stage win in a thrilling finale.
With the majority of the action saved for the final few kilometres, Astana Qazaqstan Team's legendary sprinter looked like finally claiming that illusive 35th stage victory at the
Tour de France. Jasper Philipsen would not be denied however, powering his way around Cavendish in the final hundred metres and taking his third victory in as many bunch sprint finishes at this year's race.
